Trachman Law Center recently received very exciting and humbling news.
I am truly honored to have been nominated and to have been given the award for Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes Trachman Law Center for its work building and protecting families.
I am a strong believer that there are fundamental parts of our lives that may not be of our choosing — for example, struggling with infertility is never a choice we make voluntarily. Nor is it a choice with whom we fall in love, or whether we fall in love at all. But whether we suffer from infertility, never meet that right person, or the right person happens to be the same sex, we should not be denied the right to be a parent. In fact, I believe some of the best parents fall within these categories.
It has been an honor and a privilege to help those who turn to assisted reproductive technology (egg, sperm, embryo donation, and/or surrogacy) in forming their families. And even though these individuals must navigate the legal hurdles before them, Trachman Law Center is always committed to making the process as painless as possible. It is incredibly fulfilling work and I appreciate the opportunity to help others achieve their dreams of a growing family. I am hopeful this award will allow more people in the community to know that the firm is a resource for them.
I would like to thank the Denver Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for being such a kind, supportive, and professional group. I also would like to thank my family who supported my dream of leaving corporate law to make a difference in the world on a more personal level. And I would like to acknowledge my clients, and the bravery required of them just to fulfill the basic desire of a family in the face of countless obstacles.
